Deyon Stephenson is a single mom and sole bread winner for her family. Her goal and dream was to own her own home, but she didn’t know how to make her dream a reality.
Her pastor, Michael Rose, of Royal Palm Covenant Church, introduced her to the first-time home buyer’s program offered through REACH. She found the class to be informative. In her own words:
“This class taught me how to manage my credit cards, and save and so much more! The staff, specifically Ms. Dee and Kenisha, was very helpful and very patient. I was very blessed to have them as coaches, especially Ms. Dee, who often stayed until midnight to help me. I am very proud to say that I am now a first-time owner of a three bedroom home. Had my dream been fueled by my determination alone, it probably would never have been realized. My heartfelt thanks go to the REACH Program and the support of those wonderful coaches. I have introduced the program to two of my friends, one of who now also owns her own home! I just wanted to say thank you to the REACH Program and to Pastor Michael Rose for not only telling me about the REACH Program, but for walking with me every step of the way to ensure successful completion”
